Youthful Encounters with Beasts and Birds – Meg Rutherford

Australian artist, sculptor, illustrator and writer, Meg Rutherford’s incredible career is being showcased in this amazing exhibition. A name some may have heard, Meg was a graduate of the National Art School of Sydney, she then travelled to the UK and studied at the Slade School of Fine Are, University College London where she graduated in sculpture. It was during her time mending sculptures that she explored new directions which lead to her first illustrative book The Beautiful Island. Since that book she contributed to over 77 titles with many being translated into different languages.
